
Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American model and actress. She was born between May 7th, 2021 until August 5, 1961. Her career began as an actor on television, acting in the TV films Malibu (1983), California Girls (1985). She also starred as Gwendoline in the comedienne film the Land of the Yik-Yak (both 1984) as well as Bachelor Party (1985). Kitaen was a popular choice due to her appearances in a variety of rock music videos of heavy metal. These included Ratt's "Back for More" (1984) and Whitesnake's "Still of the Night", "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" (all 1987).In the 2000s, Kitaen transitioned into appearing on reality TV series such as The Surreal Life (2006) and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) which, the one that focused on Kitaen's addiction issues. Julie Kitaen was the youngest of three children, born in San Diego in 1961 to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) an actress, a former beauty pageant contestant, and Terry Kitaen who worked for an organization that made neon signs. [1][2] Kitaen's mother was from Scottish and Irish heritage, and her father was of Russian Jewish background. Kitaen was born Jewish. At the age of 12, she began to use the nickname "Tawny" She developed on her own initiative. She was dyslexic as a young person and was eventually kicked out of Mission Bay High School. She was 14 when she went to see Penny Frampton perform at Balboa Stadium. [9]
